Melissa A. Rosati, CPCC
Welcome to Melissa's Coaching Studio!
If we met at a networking event or you are a new visitor here today, I'm certain that continuous learning, education, and book culture mean as much to you as they do to me.
I help writers, independent scholars and academics develop integrated publishing and career strategies that deliver results.
What I love to do is to ask you about your purpose, publishing goals, and what you hope to achieve within the next year, next three years, and beyond. During these conversations, I help you articulate and define what your personal brand stands for, and how you communicate it to your audience.
Then, we pull back the camera for the long view.
What does the future look and feel like for your career?
What is the market value for your creative work and/or your skill sets?
This is where the conversation takes you to new places.
Drawing on my coaching expertise and career experience in acquiring manuscripts and contract negotiations with agents, authors, and media professionals, I teach clients how to frame opportunities, assess the risks and rewards, negotiate for what they want, and build on their successes.
Where appropriate, I also draw on my experience as a senior executive, boss, co-worker, team member to point out opportunities for you to sharpen your communication skills, including how to engage with others more effectively, how to network within your field, and how to convey a compelling narrative about your personal brand, talent, and contributions.
Whether you are a writer, independent scholar or academic, your creative work is more than your artistic vision.
Your creative work is your livelihood. It is the foundation for your personal brand. It is an asset to cultivate, protect, and pass on for the future. I take my responsibility to you seriously--always.
What is your long-term career strategy for our Digital Age?
"Glance at the sun. See the moon and stars. Gaze at the beauty of the green earth. Now think."
-- Hildegard of Bingen
"Melissa is to me what Theo was to Vincent. You can count on her support during your toughest moments."
